“I always wanted to have a windowthat was hemmed in by books
on all sides,”says Danish.
What brings the residence alive is clever lighting. “Weare
extremely particular about lights. I feel white light must be
banned. It is cold, unfriendly, sterile. We love warm,yellow light,”
shares Shruti.Warm amberpoolsfill up theirhomeas evening
dawns. Spotlights accentuate nooks, halogens hangabove photo
frames, an overhead fixture lights u p the food counter, and
concealed lightingilluminatesdifferentsectionsofthe kitchen.
“Ourhom eisa work in progress,’’they enthuse. Carefully
planned,changing,cozy. An urban calypso.Much like their
evolving projects, as Shruti waits forher next offeringon the silver
